FREE CRAZY BREAD FROM LITTLE CAESAR'S
Little Caesar's Pizza
Free is good, we have firmly established that. You know what else is good? Giving to others. Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to have both?

Little Caesar's is here to help. Until April 30th, when you donate a used cell phone to the Cell Phones for Soldiers program, Little Caesar's will give you a free order of Crazy Bread. Your cell phone will help our soldiers overseas to call home to loved ones. You know what that is?

That's a win-win for everyone involved.

FLYING ALARM CLOCK
Flying Alarm Clock
Imagine this scenario: your normal alarm clock goes off, you hit snooze, fall back asleep, and show up late to work. Again.

Enter the Flying Alarm Clock. The alarm is attached to a helicopter blade that gets shot randomly across the room when it goes off. That means you have to get up out of bed, and dig through your room looking for the alarm while still half unconscious.

Irritating? Oh heavens yes. Effective? Absolutely.
You're welcome.

Is The Customer Always Right?

I have read so many articles about this topic over the years. It is what we were grown up on, a phrase that has to be more figurative than anything else, or there would be no businesses, profitable ones at least.

I have no problem whatsoever with the premise of the articles, but I've come across far too many small businesses that view this age old saying "the customer is always right" as a lone justification for taking abuse at the hands of life sucking customers. I believe in a better saying that allows customer and business to work together. The Right Customer is Always Right.

Now, here's what I mean by that. There is absolutely nothing wrong, in fact there's everything right, with building a culture of making the customer thrilled at every turn, but you can't adopt the mentality without two things firmly in place first.

1) You must absolutely set up every communication with the goal of attracting the ideal customer - ideal is a customer that values what you have to offer, values how you offer it, and determines that value is a mutual exchange of such - very much like any healthy relationship. Bad relationships come from misunderstanding yourself and what you really have to offer and the same might be said for attracting customers for the wrong reasons.

2) You must build an experience that does indeed thrill at every turn - from lead generation to getting paid.

With those two qualifications in place you can allow the customer to always be right, because you've designed a culture of mutual benefit and your "we won't rest until its right" policy will serve both of you long term. Small businesses simply can't afford to attract the wrong kind of customer and expect to make them thrilled, it's a nearly impossible task and will be accomplished likely to the detriment of your ideal customers.

So, repeat after me, the right customer is always right - with that mindset the accountability shifts from the customer to you.

City Care's New website, as implemented by Ingenux

30th March, 2010 - Ingenux has completed the design and development of a custom-built site for City Care which was launched this month. They provide food for the homeless and impoverished,  affordable and supportive housing for low income individuals, and offer a mentor program to help those who find themselves upon difficult times.

"Working on a project like the City Care website is something everyone at Ingenux takes personally," Brandy Semore, Ingenux Production Director said.  "Its organizations like City Care that help make our community what it is...giving."

The website Ingenux built allows the administrator to update News & Events and allows online registration for those participating in the fundraising events; this is all with the use of a custom built content management system.  While visiting the City Care site users can easily receive information about volunteering as well as donating monetary funds with just a few clicks.  For more information on City Care and how they are helping their local community, please visit  www.citycareinc.org.

Ingenux Further Develops Internship Program

Matthew Johnston- Development Intern

Matthew Johnson
The Ingenux team has a new intern! Matt Johnston, an Edmond native, joined the Ingenux team in early March for a wonderful three month internship.

Johnston is a senior at Advanced Academics, an online high school. Next year, he wishes to attend UAT to major in computer programming. He aspires to be a software developer and wishes someday to be on the front lines of creating the newest and most advanced technologies. His main goal is to someday own his own software development company.

While at Ingenux, Johnston has learned how to properly create an html template and has improved his knowledge on his techniques and web languages. Johnston wishes to learn how to work together with a team and further improve his skills.

His hobbies include gaming, cooking, reading (programming books are his favorite!), and learning about Medieval history. Johnston likes to try new things, especially when it comes to unusual foods. Though his true passion will always be programming, which he began at age ten.

"The team at Ingenux is wonderful to work with. They make me feel right at home and educate and inspire me along the way. My journey with Ingenux has been amazing so far, I have learned so much and I can't wait for Ingenux to help me expand my knowledge further. Ingenux has given me the ability to so far really put my foot in the door to becoming a software developer and I know that they will help me reach my full potential so I can reach my goals."  Johnston said.
