Does
it make sense to spend money to promote your blog?
Most companies realize the necessity of promoting their website. After all, many businesses use their website not only as a branding tool but also as a way to sell services or products. Added traffic means more online orders. Even in cases where a website is
not enabled to accept orders, increased traffic can mean more leads. Blogs are a different story. In recent years, they have gone from being a way to promote a website to an important web presence in their own right. Many businesses put a lot of focus on their
blog because:
· Blogs are inexpensive but pack a powerful marketing punch
· Blogs appeal to customers with their informal and personal style
· Blogs allow interaction between the company and the customer
All of this raises a rather obvious question: Does it make sense to spend money to promote your blog?
It can be a challenging question to answer. On the one hand, a blog can help to promote your business substantially. On the other hand, most blogs are not created to take orders or even to aggressively direct customers to call. In some ways, it seems counter-intuitive
to spend money promoting something that is meant to be a free or inexpensive non-monetized web presence.
If you are trying to determine whether to invest your marketing dollar in promoting your blog, ask yourself these questions:
· How much traffic is your blog driving to you and your website? You might need a little marketing research to figure this one out, but if the number is high, investing in marketing efforts just makes sense.
· How many orders come indirectly from your blog? Again, this may require a little bit of market research but should give you a sense of how much money your blog is making you and therefore how much money you should be investing in it.
· What is your blog traffic?
· Could you monetize your blog in some way? If yes, marketing your blog might pay for yourself (and your business will have a nice additional way to make money as well).
If you need to find a low-cost, smart way of promoting your blog or website, trust the experts at Ingenux. Our team can get you marketing results even on a modest budget. If you are hesitating in marketing efforts because of cost, call us. We can help you find
solutions that make sense for your company.

New Project!
Powerlynx Motorsports Management Inc selects Ingenux to develop interactive car sponsorship marketing application
Ingenux has been contracted by
Powerlynx Motorsports Management to build a cutting-edge advertising application that will be the front runner in future motorsports marketing campaigns geared to entice sponsors. Through a simple step process, this web application will allow potential
title and secondary corporate sponsors to select a racing series and team and provide the ability to upload their corporate brand into respective areas of the car, driver, mechanic and transporter based on the sponsorship package selected. The system will
then generate and showcase a 3D rendered view of the car with the potential sponsors' corporate branding to provide visual results of becoming a racing sponsor.
This hands-on interaction will influence the audience by building excitement, creating measureable brand interactions and bringing the sponsorship to life.
Powerlynx, a global motorsports marketing and consulting firm, hired Ingenux to make them a leader in race car sponsorship development by creating an application that will allow potential sponsors to see their company logo and brand on a race car team in real-time.

10 Ways To Put Your Content In Front Of More People
Which is more important, driving traffic to your website or encouraging as many people as possible to see your content? Believe it or not, they are not one and the same.Too often, we as website owners live and die by web analytics applications. We fret about
bounce rates, unique visitors and dwell time. However, when we focus so heavily on the performance of our website, we miss a fundamental point: we should aim to expose users to our content, not our website. The website is a tool to showcase our content, but
it is not the only tool that does this.
Organizations with truly successful websites understand this principle. Take, for example, the following: Amazon's primary objective is to sell stuff. YouTube aims to use video content to carry advertisements. Twitter facilitates "tweeting." (Who knows what
its business model is!).

Economic Tip
Using Skype to Save the Family Money
by Karen at Saving The Family Money

The Technology--Skype is free software you can download onto your computer that allows you to talk over the Internet to anyone else with Skype--anywhere in the world. I wish we would have had Skype when my sister and her husband lived in Japan. It would have
been nice to video chat for free anytime. Now we use the video chat with the grandparents and it's fabulous. They enjoy seeing the kids more frequently and the kids think it's fun to see them on the computer!
The Money--The exciting part for me is we are only paying about $6 a month for our home phone service (no taxes)! Imagine the savings if you did this for your family. Although my sister is now in the same city, she signed up with Skype and is also using it
as her main line.
